Choosing where to stay is the biggest decision of a Phu Quoc trip. This list is organised by area and budget, so you can find the right place without long daily drives.
Contents
Phu Quoc has hundreds of resorts and hotels, from budget homestays to international luxury properties. The list below is a suggestion from the Blue Waves Trip team based on location, beach and guest feedback – not an official ranking. First choose your area (see north, centre or south), then the hotel.
5-star resorts on the South Island
- JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay (Khem Beach): unique “university campus” design and a white-sand beach – great for couples and lovers of luxury.
- Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort (Ong Doi Cape): villas spread over a headland between two beaches, with both sunrise and sunset views.
- New World Phu Quoc Resort (Khem Beach): pool villas, peaceful and family-friendly.
In the south you are close to the Hon Thom cable car, Sunset Town, Sao Beach and the island-tour ports, such as the South Island luxury yacht.
5-star resorts on the North Island
- The Vinpearl resorts at Bai Dai: resort and villa complexes next to VinWonders, the Safari and Grand World – convenient for families.
- Fusion Resort Phu Quoc (Vung Bau): private-pool villas, an all-spa-inclusive concept and total peace.
3–4-star hotels and resorts in the centre and on Long Beach
- InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort (Long Beach): 5-star, several pools and a rooftop bar for sunsets – “luxury but central”.
- Novotel Phu Quoc Resort (Long Beach): long beach, spacious rooms, family-friendly.
- 3–4-star hotels around Duong Dong: plenty of good-value options within walking distance of the night market and Dinh Cau.
Boutique hotels and homestays
- Boutique resorts along Long Beach – Ong Lang: small bungalow properties among greenery, right on the beach – ideal for couples seeking quiet.
- Homestays and bungalows on the North Island and Hon Dam: for a rustic, close-to-nature stay. See Hon Dam – Love Island.

Tips for booking Phu Quoc hotels at good rates
- Book 1–2 months ahead for peak season (December – March, holidays).
- In the rainy season (May – October) resort rates often drop sharply – a chance to stay 5-star for less.
- Staying 4+ days? Split between north and south to cut travel.
- Ask whether the resort offers a free shuttle to the centre.
Frequently asked questions
Should I stay in a North or South Island resort?
The North Island suits families with small children (near VinWonders, the Safari, Grand World). The South Island suits island-hoppers and fans of the cable car, Sunset Town and beaches like Sao and Khem.
Is a hotel in central Phu Quoc convenient?
Very, for first-timers on a mid-range budget: close to the night market, Dinh Cau and plenty of restaurants, with both north and south about 30–40 minutes away.
When are Phu Quoc resorts cheapest?
The rainy season from roughly May to October usually has the best rates; for peak season book 1–2 months ahead.
